Field Trips
To schedule a tour, call Cathy Tibbits at 309/686-7000, ext.113 or download the Tour Reservation Form and fax or mail in your request. Please choose one or two alternate dates as days and times are based upon availability. Confirmation will be made by phone followed by a mailed copy of the final reservation form.
Gallery tours or Planetarium shows reserved in advance are $3.50 per person for Gallery and/or Discovery Center, $3.50 per person for the Planetarium, with a $85 minimum. Combination Gallery/Planetarium fee is $5.00 per person. Choose 3 options for $6.00. Payment is due the day of tour.
Please reserve your group at least 2 WEEKS in advance. Groups without a reservation may be turned away due to overcrowding.

For cancellations less than 48 hours in advance, a minimum fee will be assessed.
School Loan Program
The School Loan Program has over 300 kits of educational material on subjects from Archaeology to Zoology. These kits are intended to foster curiosity and understanding among all ages by providing tangible material such as specimens, replicas, models and devices for experiments. Ambassador Program
The purpose of the Ambassador's Program is to create a link between the museum and each school in the tri-county area, so that teachers within the school can be better informed about the educational opportunities available to their classes at the museum, and better able to integrated to the museum's programs with your district's goals and objectives.
